I joined a team that had developed FEM Assurance's internal system, Bokomoso, which managed claim processing. The next step was the Insurance Portal which would enable policy holders to register claims.

The Insurance Portal needed to be lightweight and user-friendly, catering to users across South Africa with varying technical experience and internet connectivity. Some users are solo contractors with only a smart phone, and others are large companies with dedicated insurance staff.

For the first phase of the project, our goal was to create a minimal viable product to meet a tight deadline of 5 months.
